La legendaria banda ‘Los Enemigos’, uno de los iconos del pop-rock español, regresa a Caravaca más de 30 años después y cerrará los conciertos programados en la Plaza de Toros

Actuarán ocho bandas nacionales e internacionales y se celebrarán las pinchadas de vinilos por el casco histórico tan características de este festival

El concejal de Cultura ha resaltado “la capacidad del evento para atraer a un público fiel de numerosos puntos de España, que disfruta de un fin de semana en la localidad, aportando beneficio a la hostelería y alojamientos turísticos”

30/08/2024. Un total de ocho bandas nacionales e internacionales componen el cartel del festival ‘Caravaca Power Pop’ 2024, siendo el legendario grupo ‘Los Enemigos’, icono del pop-rock español, el encargado de poner el broche oro a los conciertos previstos para los días 18 y 19 de octubre.

El concejal de Cultura y Festejos en el Ayuntamiento de Caravaca de la Cruz, Joaquín Zaplana, y el coordinador del festival, José Esteban Martínez-Iglesias, han dado a conocer todos los detalles de la programación de este año, que tiene como principal novedad la incorporación de la céntrica Plaza del Arco como lugar de celebración de los que conciertos previstos para el viernes 18 de octubre.

“Tras cinco exitosas ediciones, este festival caravaqueño con personalidad propia, vuelve con más fuerza que nunca, apostando por un mayor número de bandas de referencia del power pop y por uno de los grupos que han marcado la historia de la música española y que regresa a Caravaca 33 años después como es ‘Los Enemigos”, según ha destacado el concejal Joaquín Zaplana.

El edil de Cultura también ha querido resaltar “la capacidad de este festival para atraer a un público fiel de numerosos puntos de la geografía española, que disfruta de un fin de semana en nuestra localidad, aportando un importante beneficio a la hostelería y alojamientos turísticos”.

Por su parte, durante la presentación del cartel, el coordinador del festival, José Esteban Martínez-Iglesias, ha afirmado sentirse muy “contento y entusiasmado con esta edición” porque “es un auténtico lujo contar con grupos de este nivel y que cada año se vaya reforzado la apuesta por este evento que no solo pone el foco en la música sino también en patrimonio y en la hostelería de Caravaca”.

La programación para 2024 del ‘Caravaca Power Pop’ arrancará el viernes 18 de octubre, a las 21.00 horas con una pinchada de vinilos en la Plaza del Arco. En este mismo escenario tendrán lugar los cuatro primeros conciertos a cargo de ‘Los Hermanos Dalton’, ‘Erik Voeks & The Ghosters’ y ‘Atticusfinch’. Posteriormente, la fiesta se trasladará al pup ‘La Nota’.

El sábado 19 de octubre la actividad comenzará al mediodía con las pinchadas de vinilos por distintos emplazamientos del casco histórico tan características de este festival. De las 12.30 a las 16.00 horas los asistentes se moverán por Plaza del Arco, Calle Mayor y Plaza Nueva. Tras un breve paréntesis, la programación se trasladará a La Zona con el concierto de ‘The Yellow Melodies’. A las 20.00 horas comenzarán los directos en el escenario principal de la Plaza de Toros con “Los Enemigos”, “Paul Collins”, “The Yum Yums” y “Tiburona”.

Siguiendo el estilo marcado en los últimos años, el cartel anunciador del ‘Caravaca Power Pop’ vuelve a estar realizado por el ilustrador alicantino Tete Navarro, conocido como ‘el artista del bolígrafo’. En esta ocasión, ha querido inspirarse en los niños y niñas que acuden al festival acompañados de sus padres y que son la siguiente generación del Power Pop.

Las actividades del ‘Power Pop’ son gratuitas, a excepción de los cuatro conciertos programados en el interior de la Plaza de Toros, cuya entrada tiene un coste de 15 euros anticipada (compralaentrada.com y pub La Nota) y 20 en taquilla.

22:00 horas. Plaza del Arco. Conciertos de “Los Hermanos Dalton”, “Erik Voeks & The Ghosters” y “Atticusfinch”.

Sábado 19 de octubre

12:30 - 16:00 horas. Casco histórico (Plaza del arco, Calle Mayor y Plaza Nueva). Pinchadas de vinilos.
17:30 - 19:45 horas. La Zona. Concierto de “The Yellow Melodies”. Tras el concierto, pinchada de vinilos.
20:00 - 01:30. Plaza de toros. Conciertos de “Los Enemigos”, “Paul Collins”, “The Yum Yums” y “Tiburona”.

2:00 - 4:00. Pinchada de vinilos en Pub La Nota
